Make this years Christmas Cards extra special with a center step feature that will make your die cut Christmas Tree POP!
It is a billion degrees outside, and we admit, Christmas may not be the thing we want to be thinking of at the moment, however, we love intricate Christmas Cards and starting early guarantees these beauties are in the mailbox come December. This month our designers have a bunch of lovely holiday cards to share with you. Kendra has a fun center step card to share today and Kendra said she really likes the ‘5416-01D Christmas Tree Die‘ for creating any size Christmas trees you may need!! Follow along as she shows us how to recreate this beautiful center step Christmas tree card.

How to make this card:
- Kendra started by grabbing a white Center Step Card Base from our friends at The Paper Cut.
- Using the coordinating Center Step Card Layers Die, die cut the center layers for your card. Die cut the center largest layer from a piece of green/red/white striped pattern paper from the ‘2015 Snowflake Fun‘ paper pad. Die cut the smallest layer from white cardstock. Adhere layers together and then add to card base.
- Die cut the largest non-stitched side panel layer from a piece of light red paper from the ‘2015 Snowflake Fun‘ paper pad twice. Die cut the small stitched side panel layer from a piece of red snowflake pattern paper from the ‘2015 Snowflake Fun‘ paper pad twice. Adhere layers together, with the stitched layer being closer to the top of the non-stitched layer. (Just note because I used one non-stitched layer and one stitched layer, the layers aren’t perfect in size together – see photo – but this doesn’t matter, the extra on the bottom will be hidden when the card is folded) Adhere to card base.
- Die cut the ‘tree’ layers from the ‘5416-01D Christmas Tree Die‘ from green cardstock. Kendra die cut each layer once but die cut the largest and second from largest layer twice. Die cut the truck from brown cardstock and the star from yellow cardstock. Adhere trunk to card base. Place tree layers and star top on base to find the size you like and adhere each layer together. Adhere to card base with pop dots.
- Die cut the 1.375″ circle from ‘5821-02D Stitch Dot Nested Circle‘ from white cardstock. Stamp a small ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment from the ‘3328 Merry Christmas Phrases Large/Small‘ in black ink. Die cut the 1.65″ scallop circle from ‘5029D Nested Circle Scallop Die‘ from red paper from the ‘2015 Snowflake Fun‘ paper pad. Adhere sentiment layer with pop dots to the scallop layer. Adhere to the bottom right of card base.
- Die cut the shadow layer from ‘5515-06D Believe Word w/Shadow‘ from green cardstock. Die cut the ‘Believe’ sentiment layer from glittery white paper. Adhere layers together. Add to the left panel of card base.
- Die cut a snowflake from the ‘5513-07D Snowflake Dies‘ from white glittery paper. Adhere to the top right panel of card base.
- Die cut two different sized presents from the ‘5718-04D Santa’s Bag Die‘. Adhere layers together. Add to bottom left of tree.
- Finish card by adding small clear, red and green rhinestones to the tree.

This card is truly amazing and we are obsessed with how this tree looks on that center step design. Be sure to check out our friends at The Paper Cut for tons of creative card bases and matching die cuts to make your creations easier to make. Enjoy.
