Pop-Up Birthday Card with Colorful Flowers and Monarch Butterfly
  • Kendra started her card by creating an A2 sized card base. She also scored at 2 3/4″.
  • Die cut middle sized die from ‘5500-02D Outisde Scallop Frame Die‘ three times. Adhere together.
  • Die cut ‘Happy’ ‘5406-03D – Happy Script with Shadow Die‘ and ‘Birthday’ ‘5406-02D – Birthday Script with Shadow Die‘ shadow layers two times each from teal card stock. Adhere together.
  • Die cut the ‘Happy’ and ‘Birthday’ script layer from white cardstock. Adhere to shadow layer.
  • Add glue to bottom half of frame and adhere to card base. (Kendra laid the frame on her card base to see where to put the glue as seen in the picture.)
  • Add foam dots to the back of the ‘Birthday’ sentiment and adhere to the inside of your card near the bottom on a slant. (This will help stand your card front up.)
  • Die cut 3 open leaf foliage from the ‘5611-07D Foliage Trio Die‘ from green cardstock. Add foliage to bottom left of frame to top left and around to top right of frame. (Kendra likes to have her card opened up so she can be sure all her pieces are staying within the A2 sized card.)
  • Adhere ‘Happy’ sentiment to card base.
  • Die cut ‘5102D 2 Part Butterfly #3 Die‘ shadow layer from orange cardstock and top layer from black cardstock. Adhere together. Add to frame near top right.
  • Die cut flowers using ‘5109D – Mixable Flower Stack Die‘ and ‘5709-02D Spring Flowers Die‘. Adhere on foliage to your liking.
  • Die cut largest rectangle tag from ‘5704D – Nested Tag Dies‘ from teal cardstock and middle layer from white cardstock. Adhere together. Stamp ‘Wishing you a beautiful day’ sentiment in black ink from ‘3455 Country Blossoms‘. Adhere to the inside of card.
  • Add smallest die cut flower from ‘5109D – Mixable Flower Stack Die‘ under sentiment.
  • Finish card by adding white enamel dots.
