A Card for your Crafty Friend

A Card for your crafty friend from Brass and Bliss Craft Co.

Looking for an art lover’s card for a friend or relative? Today’s card is made up of a suitcase full of artist tools, a partial stamped/partial die cut greeting and panel of abstract colored paper.

How many of you have made friends in this crafty community? Our love of art and card-making has drawn us together and created a camaraderie and friendship like no other. Todays card is for your crafty friend. It’s a card that shows them how special they are to you and how they “color your world”! Follow along as our Associate Designer, Julie, gives us the steps for how she made this stunning project!

A Card for your Crafty Friend
  • I die cut all the tools & letters of the word COLOR out of heavy white card stock. I tend to do this so I don’t have to cut multiple times with multiple colors. I then color them to my preference afterwards.
  • I used ‘5612-01D Art Set Die’, and ‘5612-02D Painters Set Die’ to fill my suitcase with crafty tools
  • The ‘5613-04D Suitcase Die’ was cut out of 2 shades of grey w/ black accents & I added 3 layers of card board behind the bottom section to give it the impression of being open & full of the art supplies.
  • I like to mix up greetings, especially if I don’t have what I want already there, so I stamped & die cut the YOU, colored the white letters for COLOR & stamped the last line.
  • I had the panel of the designer paper from the ‘2012 It’s Party Time’ paper pad left & it was just big enough to cut w/ one of the ‘5425D Mini Slimline Nested with stitch’ dies.
  • Then I colored all the tools to go w/ the paper.

As someone who loves all things crafty, I would absolutely LOVE to receive this card in the mail. This is frame-worthy! We love that she chose pastels, however you could bolden it up with any color pallet. We especially love her use of patterned paper in the background from our ‘2012 It’s Party Time’ paper pad, because it looks like the art that was painted using the colors on the pallet; really cool idea! If you love this card, Pin it for later, share it with a friend, shop the items below! Our small business thrives on this crafty community!

We really hope this card for your crafty friend will be one you recreate and mail!
