Add Easy Rainbows to your Birthday Cards

Use the Brass & Bliss Arches Die to add perfectly arched rainbows to your card projects.

We love today’s colorful birthday creation by our designer, Christina. Our Arch die is perfect for those uniformed rainbows, and we love how she used them on the outside edges of the card for a decorative background feature.

  • Die cut five arches from colored cardstock in rainbow colors two times to create two rainbows. There are 12 arches. Start with the largest, #12 arch, and pair that with arch #10, securing it to your cardstock with low-tack tape before die cutting to get your first rainbow color. For the second color, die cut arch #10 with arch #8, and so on.
  • Die cut just arch #12 from white cardstock.
  • Attach the rainbow colored arches from step one to the white cardstock arch with liquid adhesive.
  • Cut each rainbow in half with sharp scissors.
  • Die cut a piece of white cardstock with the largest Nested Rectangle Die, 4 x 5 ¼.
  • Arrange the rainbow halves on the white cardstock panel and secure with liquid adhesive. Trim the ends of the rainbows with sharp scissors.
  • Attach the rainbow panel to a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ colored cardstock panel in a coordinating color with liquid adhesive.
  • Stamp the large Happy Birthday sentiment in black ink on white cardstock and die cut with the coordinating dies.
  • Attach the sentiment to the card front with a combination of liquid adhesive and thin foam squares.
  • Add clear embellishment drops.
  • Attach the card panel to a side-fold card base with liquid adhesive.
