A Clean and Simple Card for a Wonderful Day

CAS Card

This is a beautiful clean and simple card that is easy to make and easy to customize by changing the colors or the greeting. Add a black border for a dynamic impact against the white.

Follow along as Julie takes you through the steps to make this ‘Wonderful Day’ card.

  • Julie placed the new ‘4211 – Oval-Circle Mask 2 part Stencil‘ using the Oval on a die cut piece of white card stock using ‘5013D – Nested Rectangle Stitch Die‘.
  • Color Fuse Set # 11‘ was used for the greens which was sponged in from the bottom up. ‘Color Fuse Set #6‘ was used for the purples which was sponged from the top down.
  • Julie left just a bit of white between the 2 colors, then using ‘Color Fuse Set #7‘, she added the blue to bridge the colors. When using 2 opposite colors like green and purple, it’s important not to try to blend them together or it will usually look like mud. Julie used the light blue because it blends well with both the purples and the greens.
  • After removing the mask, the pretty ‘36028 – Silhouette Wildflowers‘ were stamped on top of the sponged area.
  • The sentiment ‘you’ from ‘36028 – Silhouette Wildflowers‘ was stamped beneath the oval and Julie cut a thin strip with the ‘wonderful’ word, also from ‘36028 – Silhouette Wildflowers‘, on it to fit the oval.
  • The image was attached to a black, die cut panel using ‘5602D – Nested Rectangle w/Square Holes Die‘ before adding it to a white card.

This was such a clean and simple card to make. We hope you enjoy making on for a special someone in the near future. Be sure to visit us on Instagram, Pinterest, or our blog to enjoy more amazing creations for you to try.
