Create a fun Card for the Book Lover in your Life

Looking for a stunning card for that avid reader in your life? This simple die cut card is bringing all the good-read vibes and making us want to read not only the card, but snuggle up with a cup of coffee and choose a book from our huge ‘to be read’ pile.

This clean and simple card design came together quickly per our Designer, Christina. She used a rainbow of cardstocks to create a stack of books against a scripty text background. Foam squares added dimension to the beautifully detailed die cuts and a simple sentiment and heart embellishments finish this quick and easy card.

  • Stamp an A2 kraft cardstock panel with the French Script Background Stamp and white pigment ink. Set aside to dry.
  • Die cut the books from the Books and Flowers Die set from a rainbow of cardstocks. I used pink, yellow, green, teal, and blue.
  • Assemble and glue the elements to create the books.
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Always Peony Stamp Set on black cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
  • Die cut the sentiment with the Off Set Tags Dies, trimming the tag to size.
  • Die cut the stamped French Script panel with the second largest Nested Deckle Rectangle. Attach this to a piece of white cardstock die cut with the largest Nested Rectangle Die with liquid adhesive.
  • Attach the books and the sentiment strip to the card panel with foam squares.
  • Attach everything to a coordinating blue, A2 cardstock panel.
  • Add white enamel heart details and attach to an A2 side-fold card base.
