We are always on the look out for fun new card making inspiration and today’s bright card by our Designer, Christina, is just that! Using our fun Window Die Cut, she created a wonderful garden full of florals that is giving us all the spring and summer vibes. This die cut window scene card is perfect to send to a friend and we hope you love it as much as we do!

How to make this card:

  • Trim a piece of patterned paper from the Bee Mine 6×6 paper pad to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ .
  • Die cut the largest Outside Scallop Frame Die from white cardstock and use liquid adhesive to secure to the patterned paper.
  • Die cut the Window 4 Pane three times from white, black, and gray cardstock.
  • Use the black window as the base and cut elements from the white and gray window die cuts to adhere to the black window base.
  • Trim the inside window pane piece from the white window die cut and adhere to the black window base with liquid adhesive.
  • Layer the gray and white header pieces, securing them together with liquid adhesive. Layer the gray and white window box pieces, securing them together with thin foam squares. This will allow the flowers to easily be tucked into the window box. Attach both to the black window base with liquid adhesive.
  • Trim a piece of light blue cardstock and some vellum to fit behind the window. Adhere the vellum first and then the light blue cardstock, securing both with liquid adhesive.
  • Adhere the assembled window to the patterned paper panel with liquid adhesive.
  • Die cut and assemble multiple flowers and leaves using the Gentian and Stems Die set and the Classic Flowers and Stems Die set, securing them with liquid adhesive. Die cut some leaves from the Spring Flowers Die set.
  • Use pink and orange cardstock for the flowers, and white and black for the flower centers.
  • Use a light and a dark green cardstock for the leaves and stems.
  • Die cut and assemble the Spring Bird from teal, brown, and white cardstock and secure with liquid adhesive.
  • Die cut the Friend Script with Shadow using black cardstock for the script and white cardstock for the shadow. Glue the pieces together.
  • Stamp the small sentiment “you are the best” from the Always Peony stamp set in black ink on white cardstock. Trim around the sentiment.
  • Attach the flowers and the stems and leaves in the window box using a combination of thin foam squares and liquid adhesive. Tuck the stems into the window box, trimming if necessary.
  • Attach the spring bird to the top of the window securing with a combination of foam squares and liquid adhesive.
  • Attach the small sentiment and the Friend Script with thin foam squares.
  • Attach the front card panel to an A2 side-fold card base.

Don’t you just love the final result? We are so impressed by this bright floral creation and window scene that was created with just paper! Paper crafting really is the BEST!
