How to Make a Colorful Christmas Village Card

Looking for a unique Christmas Card Idea that is simple to assemble but looks like it took a lot longer? Today’s Christmas Village card is colorful and fun and easy to assemble.

If you are like us, you are trying to find a unique Christmas card design that really WOW’s while not taking too much of your crafting time. Today’s card comes from our designer, Christina, who hit it out of the park with this colorful Christmas Village card! We adore how she used a fresh color pallet, that feels wintery and bright. (Check out these cards for similar winter color palette) Follow along as she wows us with this simple project that looks a lot more intricate than one might think.

  • Trim the winter trees patterned paper from the ‘2009 Wintery Woodlands 6×6 paper pad‘ to slightly smaller than 4 ¼ x 5 ½ and attach to a mustard colored cardstock panel trimmed to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ with liquid adhesive.
  • Die cut the ‘5148-05D Frame with Curves Pierced‘ from white cardstock two times and stack together. Attach this to the card front with liquid adhesive.
  • Die cut the ‘5416-07D Winter Village Die‘ multiple times from mustard, teal, light blue, and green cardstocks. Back the village buildings with light gray cardstock for the windows.
  • Arrange the village buildings and pine trees along the curves of the die cut frame and attach them with foam squares.
  • Stamp a sentiment from ‘36003 Magic of Christmas Stamp Set‘ with Cedar Color Fuse Ink on white cardstock and die cut with a small circle from ‘5012 Nested Circle Small Stitch Die set‘. Cut another circle with a circle punch from mustard cardstock and layer with the sentiment.
  • Attach this to the card front with foam squares.

We really do love how fun this card design is. The waves cover die looks like snowy hills and provides the perfect space for these small village scenes to be created. The blues greens and yellows are such a beautiful and unconventional color pallet to use for Christmas, and we think it Rocks!
