How to make a Dog-Inspired Valentine’s Day Card

Learn how to make a dog-inspired Valentine’s Day card by Julie. Some of us are “dog people”-we can’t help it, we seriously LOVE dogs! If this is you, or you have a loved one who is puppy-obsessed, then this card is for you! Come see how to make a dog-inspired Valentine’s Day Card!

Our designer, Julie, created this awesome handmade card. She said, “My doggy Valentine was inspired by the fun, snarky greeting on the ‘36024-I Adore You Set‘ and also by one of my dogs, a Dalmatian mix. Since the dog is black & white, the ‘2202-Floral Monochrome Paper Pad‘ was the perfect match. The red hearts & dog house parts make a great contrasting color for the black and white.” We agree! The reds really pop against the new Floral paper pad. Such a beautiful card and fun sentiment.

Julie explains how she made this fun dog-inspired Valentine’s Day card:

  • Cut the ‘5414-02D-Set of Dogs Die‘, the ‘5414-01D-Dog House Die‘ and ‘5512-04D-Polaroid Tabbed Die‘ out of white card stock. Julie used Copic markers to color in the dog (C9 & C2) and a couple of reds (R17 & R46) to color the roof & door of the dog house.
  • Stamp a greeting from ‘36024-I Adore You Set‘ on the polaroid frame and attach red hearts cut using ‘5700-02D- Stacked Hearts Die’.
  • Assemble the dog parts; pop the dog, dog house & polaroid frame up just a bit for dimension before attaching them to the Floral Monochrome paper.
