How to Make a Popsicle Shaker Card

Check out this fun new way to use your arch dies to create a summer shaker card that looks so good you will wish it wasn’t made of paper!

We are slightly obsessed with today’s summertime creation by our designer, Allison. We love when creatives think outside the box and use a product in a fun new way. Allie mentioned having the idea for these cards when we first released the 5715D Stacked Arches Die set. She immediately thought of creating a fun popsicle shaker card that would really feel like summer.

She layered up the arches to add dimension, and in between the layers she used the 5518-03D Drips and Splaters Die to make it look like the popsicle was melting. Very clever! Behind her layer of acetate, she dropped in her favorite shaker bits set against fun patterned paper from the 2011 Birthday Bear Slimline Paper Pad . To finish off the card, Allison used the 36044 Hello Summer – 4×8 Stamp Set to add the fun mini popsicles, drinks and flip-flops colored up in bright colors to really make the design POP! The sentiments were added from the 36030 Always Peony – 5×6 Stamp Set . She attached a stick to the back of the design, ready to be mailed in a long envelope to the lucky recipients.

These Popsicle Shaker cards are like summer in the mail. They are fun to create and also make our eyes happy. Next time you’re trying to think outside the box, why not create this refreshing popsicle project and shake things up! Pin this project for later…. so you don’t forget where you found it.
