Say ‘Hello’ to Spring with this Garden Card

Say Hello to Spring- Garden Card by Brass and Bliss Craft Co.

Want to build a fun Spring Inspired Card that’s full of white picket fences and blooms reaching for the sun? We have a great handmade card today that is sure to make your crafty senses tingle!

This handmade card definitely says Hello to Spring. Christina’s creativity truly shines through in her delightful spring card design. The combination of the whimsical paper from the ‘2203 – Bee Mine Paper Pad‘ and the intricate dies from Brass and Bliss has brought to life a charming scene that perfectly captures the essence of the season.

As the white picket fence frames the card, it adds a touch of nostalgia and warmth, evoking images of blooming gardens and sunny days. The vibrant colors of the flowers pop against the backdrop, creating a visual feast for the eyes.

With each petal carefully crafted and each detail thoughtfully placed, Christina’s card is not just a piece of paper but a work of art that exudes joy and positivity. It is a wonderful way to welcome the arrival of spring and spread happiness to those who receive it.

Follow the steps as Christina makes this delightful card.

  • Trim a piece of patterned paper from the ‘2203 – Bee Mine Paper Pad‘ to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ for the background of the scene.
  • Die cut two ‘5305D – Inside Scallop Nested Die‘ frames. Use the largest scallop to die cut white cardstock and the second largest to die cut yellow paper from the ‘2203 – Bee Mine Paper Pad‘.
  • Layer the frames and secure with liquid adhesive.
  • Die cut the ‘5711-01D – Gate and Fence Die‘ elements from white and black cardstocks.
  • Assemble the fence and secure the elements with liquid adhesive.
  • Die cut the ‘5709-03 Small Flowers #6 Die‘, ‘5709-04D – Spring Garden Stems Die‘, ‘5210-02D Grass #2 Die‘, and ‘5147-17D – Wide Terracotta Pot Die‘ from solid color papers in the ‘2203 – Bee Mine‘, ‘2007 – Modern Floral‘, and ‘2016 – Welcome Spring‘ Paper Pads.
  • Trim the fence to fit behind the yellow scallop frame and glue in place.
  • Apply foam strips around the backside of the scallop frames, with the fence already glued in place, and attach to the patterned paper background panel.
  • Attach the terracotta pots, flowers, and grass to the scene with liquid adhesive, trimming elements if needed.
  • Die cut the ‘5406-05D – Hello Script w/Shadow Die‘ from coordinating paper and the shadow portion from white cardstock. Glue the script to the shadow and then attach to the scene with foam strips.
  • Attach everything to an A2 side-fold card base.
