Summer Mosaic Card

Our new ‘Hello Summer’ set is full of fun images that embody the season. Today’s fun card is an easy nod to the laid back summer vibes we all know and love. Check out this classic card with mosaic icons for a fun project with a sunny outcome!

Today’s project by our designer, Christina, is a great card if you love coloring! These small icons are the perfect size for a quick creation. We love how she set it all against a clean white background cover die to really make each mosaic square POP. Follow along with these simple instructions to recreate this fun Summer Mosaic Card.

How to make this card:

  • Stamp multiple images from the Hello Summer stamp set with black ink on white cardstock.
  • Color the images with alcohol ink markers. Add white gel pen highlights to some of the images.
  • Die cut the images using the smaller Nested Rectangle Sm. Stitch dies, using the partial die cutting technique if necessary,  to crop the images tightly.
  • Use a blending brush and Beachside Color Fuse Ink to lightly apply a little color to the die cut images, concentrating the color on the edges and blending towards the centers.
  • Die cut white cardstock with the Background Cover Die #1 and trim to 4 x 5 ¼ .
  • Adhere the background cover to a piece of blue cardstock trimmed to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ with liquid adhesive.
  • Attach the die cut images to the background panel, overlapping some of the images, using a combination of liquid adhesive, thin foam squares, and regular foam squares.
  • Add star embellishments to the background and an enamel heart to the swimsuit with liquid adhesive.
  • Attach everything to an A2 side-fold card base.

Sweet summertime creations! We love how easy that was. This ‘Hello Summer’ set is an absolute staple in your craft supply box. We hope you feel inspired. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and tag us in your creations so we can share them with our crafty community!
