Using a Cover Die for Unique Cards

Check out this fun project that assembles like a puzzle using our fun Round Petal Cover Die.

We love creating unique backgrounds for our handmade cards so we just love what our designer, Christina, has done with today’s projects. She was able to create two cards using the inside and outside cuts from our Round Petal Cover Die. You could create endless patterns with this technique, swapping out the solid paper for patterns and textures. Follow along as she walks us through how she used a background die for unique card creations.

  • Die cut the Round Petal Cover Die from four coordinating colored cardstocks.
  • Choose one color as the frame and with liquid adhesive, attach to either a white or coordinating colored cardstock panel die cut with the largest Nested Rectangle Die.
  • Inlay the colored cardstock pieces in a repeating or random pattern, securing the pieces with liquid adhesive.
  • Die cut the Hello Script with Shadow Die from coordinating colored cardstock and attach to the card panel with liquid adhesive
